Join the Hemi Incentivized Testnet

The goal of the Hemi testnet is to attract and retain users, developers, and creators before the mainnet launch. (And, of course, to iron out any kinks!)

It will do this by engaging with these audiences and incentivizing them to use Hemi.

Here is everything you need to know about Hemi’s incentives program on Hemi’s launch day, July 24.

  1. The incentivized testnet and referral program are accessible today.
  2. Any activities you undertake (that we reward) will be counted towards your point total. If you’ve been doing this for a while, you can take a pretty good guess as to what those activities tend to be.
  3. The leaderboard launches in one week, July 31. On that day, you’ll see the leaderboard rankings and, retroactively, how well you did in that first week.
  4. From there, earn away!

Why do it this way?

We usually want to look at the behavior of accounts who are interested in Hemi but maybe not as motivated by the rush of seeing their name on the leaderboard. (Even if that’s really cool, too.)

Not all user actions are equal. We’re looking for high-quality engagement. We are working on ways to make the network more popular and bring in new people, and get them to talk to each other.

Become a Hemi Dev

On the developer side, we’re deploying two specific initiatives.

The first is a grant program. Hemi will provide funds to projects that align with the ecosystem’s strategic goals, namely, TK. Second, we are streamlining the process for developers to get projects up and running on the testnet before the mainnet launches. Through our Open Application for Innovation, we hope to broaden participation and lower the barrier to entry.

If you want to give the Hemi testnet a spin, head over to the Hemi Portal.
