Our new video series brings Satoshi Nakamoto to life.

Satoshi Stories is a fascinating deep dive into the history of Bitcoin, told by Bitcoin Core Developer Jeff Garzik. Jeff was there at the beginning of Bitcoin’s rise to prominence in the cryptocurrency world, and his experience working with Satoshi Nakamoto in those early years provides important and captivating insights into the technology.

In this first video, Jeff Garzik reflects on his initial encounter with Bitcoin in July 2010. He discovered it through a post on Slashdot, a popular website for tech enthusiasts at the time. This post led many early developers, including Jeff, to explore the Bitcoin source code. His efforts to understand and improve the code resulted in the development of early mining apps and, most importantly, transformed the “hairball” of code that Jeff encountered into a usable and testable program.
