Midweek With Max

Get ready to start staking.

Get ready to start staking.

Welcome to another episode of Midweek With (a Sick) Max. Max caught something in Denver so he's a little scratchy today but he has some amazing news for Hemi users. First things first: Hemi's Mainnet launch is moving forward. The soft launch begins this week Discord community. The full public launch happens on March 12, with official announcements and press releases coming soon.

During this pre-launch week (March 5-12), users can start tunneling assets to Hemi through the canonical tunnel or partner tunnels. Assets can be staked in the staking contract. This is a zero-risk contract—funds can be withdrawn anytime with no lockup.

Starting March 12, incentives will expand to liquidity provision on DEXs and lending protocols. Those who provide liquidity before the 12th will still receive back-credited points, but for the first week, the staking contract offers the best rewards. The staking UI will be live at app.hemiproduction.wpengine.com tomorrow. Supported assets include:

  • Bitcoin LSTs, LRTs

  • ETH and ETH LSTs, LRTs

  • Hemi’s native Bitcoin tunnel

  • Stablecoins (USDC, USDT, DAI)

A blog post with a full asset list and staking guide is available now.

Testnet Incentives Ending

Testnet incentives end this Friday. Users must link all PoP mining addresses to Absinthe before then to receive proper credit. The snapshot for testnet points will be taken at that time, and points will be credited over the weekend.

From March 5 onward, users will earn Mainnet points, which will be visible in Absinthe early next week. The Testnet leaderboard will close, and Mainnet incentives will take over.

Community Engagement

Organic engagement in the Hemi ecosystem is growing. Some highlights:

  • Hair Token – A community-created meme coin inspired by Max’s hair

  • Hemi Bros – A punk-style PFP collection

  • Mint Park’s Hemi Badge – Already minted 89,000 times

This kind of community-driven activity is a real treat. The goal is to build a decentralized, self-sustaining ecosystem and seeing people excited about the possibilities is thrilling.
