This week, amid any confusion over daylight savings, the team delivered a focused set of engineering updates across Hemi’s core infrastructure. Max covered progress on MinerFi, veHEMI, Zero-Knowledge (ZK) systems, and several protocol upgrades that are moving toward testing and audit phases.

The episode opened with MinerFi updates. The team is running full end-to-end tests tied to ZK-approved upgrades to the TSS library. Meanwhile, updates to veHEMI are currently undergoing additional testing. They are expected to be sent to auditors soon, including changing smart contracts to introduce restaking functionality, which allows veHEMI positions to act as economic security for protocols building on Hemi.

Work also continues across Hemi’s ZK infrastructure. The team has been improving the Bitcoin indexer to support faster performance. Alongside this effort, Hemi is preparing a limited beta test of its ZK proof marketplace, where early participants will be able to provide feedback and submit proofs while earning minor HEMI incentives.

Several protocol-level updates are also approaching release, including the POP Payouts V2 algorithm, a simplified HIPPO explainer, and updated site documentation. To be implemented, HVM precompile upgrades will fix serialization issues and expand available Bitcoin data, including metrics related to fees, coin flow, and coin days destroyed. These improvements are expected to be included in the upcoming Jovian and HVM Phase 1 update, tentatively targeted for April.

The session closed with a look at upcoming ecosystem initiatives and timelines. Additional veHEMI educational content and infographics are on the way, along with expanded live broadcasts featuring Hemi founders. Community members were also encouraged to watch for the upcoming AI Happy Hour announcement and to join the beta testers channel ahead of the ZK marketplace testing, as several new features move closer to public release.
